PARTICIPATION IN THE COMMISSION FOR EDUCATION OF THE GLOBAL PACT
Automatically translated into English thanks to WorldLingo
In days 18, 19 and 10 of June of 2008 occurred in Curitiba the Global Latin America Forum, event that had as objective to join companies, university, government and civil society in the search for a sustainable world. It was an event of high level, congregating national and world-wide authorities, where they had also participated to some entrepreneurs juniores.
One of the activities of the event was the first Meeting of the Commission of Education of the Brazilian Committee of the Global Pact (Global Compact), that it counted on the presence of the entrepreneurs juniores Pablo Farine (Business Consultoria? UEL), Tiago Mitraud (FEJEPAR) and Mariana Nogueira (FEJEPAR). In the meeting they had been gifts in the some leaderships, as Norman de Paula Arruda Filho? superintendent of the Getúlio Foundation Vargas, Antonio de Araújo Freitas? member of the ANGRAD/AMPAD and the National Advice of Education, Raymond Soares? Foundation Dom Cabral, Sylvya D `Oliveira? International relations of the Institute Ethos and Jonas Haertle? Coordinator of Academic Initiatives of the Global/ONU Pact.
The Global Pact is an initiative of the ONU appeared in 2000 with the objective to join international companies, organizations and the society to make the humanity to advance in ten universal principles in the areas social and ambient, between them the education.
Corresponding to this line of direction, diverse world-wide authorities if had congregated since then and arrived at the consensus of that she is necessary to rethink the academic formation of the executive futures. For this, they had considered a set of action to facilitate this process. Between these actions, it is the creation of national committees so that the subject is treated local and actions are traced in this context. The meeting that we participate is exactly of the Brazilian committee that will work the beginning of the education.
Initially, Jonas Haertle introduced the principles for the responsible education enterprise, that are the following ones:
1. Intention
2. Values
3. Method
4. Research
5. Partnership
6. Dialogue
To follow, it had a debate on the main challenges of an education for the sustentabilidade. We perceive that the company Júnior is part of the solution of some problems that we are facing in the business-oriented schools currently. They are searching new leaders, motivated people, who promote changes and that they are enterprising. She is what the company Júnior considers its members.
Another challenge is to take for the business-oriented schools debates of subjects as social responsibility, the principles of the Global Pact and the sustentabilidade. We perceive that we, entrepreneurs juniores, can be the pioneers in our universities and can have the possibility to participate actively of such commissions.
When we ask for the word in the meeting and present what she is the company Júnior, our events directed toward the subject and some social actions where we are involved, we notice that all had been very interested. We believe, therefore, that it can appear in this Commission a new chance for the MEJ, a new field to explore and that it will be able to bring good results future.
We now search the formal support of the Movement Company Júnior organized to our participation in the commission. This support will bring more force to our participation, beyond displaying and including our movement in so important initiative. Moreover, more interested people can still more join to the quarrels, fortifying the name of the MEJ in this initiative of the society.
